Services

Smith Family Horseshoeing and Amanda's Farrier Service offer barefoot trimming, hot shoeing (exclusively), as well as therapeutic shoeing.

Lost shoes policy

Any shoes lost within six weeks of the last appointment are replaced free of charge within 24 to 48 hours. Please let us know about a lost shoe as soon as you notice it.

Working with your veterinarian

If your veterinarian has prescribed a specific shoeing package for your horse, we will fulfill it.

If you are meeting with a veterinarian to check on your horse's hoof health, we try our absolute best to adjust our schedule so that we can attend the appointment at no charge to you.

It's important to us to discuss a shoeing plan directly with your veterinarian, as it ensures comprehensive care for your horse and keeps everyone on the same page.

Haul-in

If you are outside of our area of service, or if you have a horse in need of specialized therapeutic work that cannot be performed at your barn (see our therapeutic work requirements below), you can haul your horse to us at Pacific Coast Horseshoeing School in Plymouth, CA. We will meet you at their state-of-the-art facility to take care of your horse in a clean and controlled environment.

Our commitment to your horse

We are committed to providing your horse with the best possible care. This means we don't carry our "ego" when we get in our truck every morning. We are happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have, and we encourage you to be involved in your horse's hoof care.

Disciplines and other services

We serve performance horses in the following disciplines:

- Dressage

- Flat Shod Tennessee Walking Horse (Plantation Pleasure, Park Pleasure, Park Performance,...)

- Rodeo (Barrel Racing, Drill Team,...)

Additional services: goat and pig trims.
